Born in Iwate, Japan and started classical ballet at the age of three. As she performed on stage and attained years of experience in winning balletic competitions, she pursued her career as a dancer and took summer school in the Royal Ballet Academy of England. Entering Sophia (Jochi) University in Tokyo brought her a strong encounter with flamenco, and she decided to shift her career.

The following year she was in Seville, Spain, taking classes from prestigious instructors like Manolo Marin, Maria del Mar Verranga, Javier Cruz, and Alicia Marquez. After her studies, she returned to Tokyo and started performing in several well known tablaos. In the year 2000, she received awards from the Japanese Flamenco Association and the Ambassador of Spain. Shortly afterwards, Mizuho started teaching in Tokyo and in her hometown, Iwate. She developed classes of flamenco history and music for further appreciation and comprehension on the Tour of Manuel Reyes Company of which she was a participant. Two years later, she returned to Spain to further develop her skills under Cristobal Reyes, la China, Manuel Liñan, and studied the Spanish language.

This experience led her to Los Angeles in 2004 to join Guitarlist Jose Tanaka's Soniquéte Flamenco and started teaching in Torrance, California. Since then, She's been performing at The Fountain Theatre in Hollywood, Alegria in Long Beach, El Cid on Sunset and many more venues. 2007 was her third time studying in Spain, including some intense classes from Familia Farruco in Seville. And in Madrid, from Marco Flores, Concha Jareño, David Paniagua, and Manuel Liñan who inspire her consistently. Briefly while returning to California, she completed her 5th successful student show in hermosa beach "iDejame Jailar!" in October 2009. During her stay in California, in March 2010, she performed at the first anual Los Angeles Flamenco Festival in the company of Briseyda Zarate and in Jose Tanaka's group as a soloist.

Also 2010 She was on the screen videography for Madonna's tour "La Vida Bonita".

In 2010 through 2014 working locally and outside of states, she had opportunities to work with Yaelisa Caminos Flamencos, Manuel de la Malena, Juan Ogalla, David Paniagua, and Maestro Jose Galvan. 2011 LA flamenco documentary "Kumpania" by Katina Dunn debuted which she was featured in. Also she was a motion capture dancer for flamenco scene in "Puss in Boots" by Dreamworks. 2015 January, she organized maestro Joaquin Grilo's workshop in LA and shared a stage with him in "GRILO" at The Barnsdall Theatre in Hollywood. Also, she held another workshop of Isaac de Los Reyes, and performed with him at The fountain Theatre.

At The Ford Theater with yearly special edition of Forever Flamenco by The fountain Theatre she's been performing with so many talented artists from Spain and inside the U.S. for these years. The review on her performance in 2016 by Jeff Slayton was "Mizuho Sato brought great seductive drama to the stage with her performance of Taranto (dazed; bewildered). Sato’s dancing was very passionate and grounded. More than anyone else on the program, she changed levels by bending over, deepening her plie while bewitching us with her enticing glances and her physical beauty. Sato is an amazing performer who has mastered her technique which frees her dancing and allows her acting abilities to be fully expressed. She indeed dazed us with her performance in Taranto."

October 2016 she participated in the tour of Carlos Zertuche's "El Latino del Tiempo"to share stages with Pastola Galvan, Juana de la Pipa, and so many talented artists. With her 20 plus years of dedication to this art form, she had a huge success on her show "SO NI KE TE" on 12/4/2016 which was a collaboration with Jose Tanaka Guitar Studio. This show will continue regularly to showcase her teaching skills reflected on her students, and of course never-ending creation on herself. September through October 2017 she performed at the Dorothy Chandler with Los Angeles Opera's Carmen.

She relocated her base to Bay area in 2018 and teaches and performs at local venues such as Teleferics in Walnut creek, Rhythmics in Oakland, Thirsty Bear in San Francisco and so on. 1/19/2018 She performed her own choreography at the San Francisco Movement Arts Festival at the Grace Cathedral.

During COVID she kept on teaching via zoom and created Flamenco Theory Class, Palmas Class, Choreography Class, for further comprehension for her students. After lockdown she performed with Malissa Cruz's Flamenco Fridays at Rocky's Market Brooklyn Basin from April 2020 - Dec 2022. Since 2021 she started performing at Oshan Anand's events with her own creation experimental flamenco mixing with contemporary and hiphop moves.

1/28/2023 she debuted her own company Mizuho Sato Flamenco Company in San Francisco with a show called ¡FLAMENKING! to spread the power of healing "flamencura" to embrace the multicultural Bay Area flamenco scene, simultaneously showcased her another talent as a painter, and as a result it was a sold out show. Also she started performing as a singer and cajón player. On 4/1/2023 Mizuho and her 4 soloists and group dancers performed at ¡FLAMENKING! Vol.2 "THE CUADRO", and "Vol.3 "PARTY at MANNY'S".

7/21-23 she performed her solos at SOLAZ by La Tania Flamenco at Presidio Theatre.

8/4/23 her duo named Soy y Lunares with Jesse Torre performed at the Pre-Concert Reception at Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara for Alfonso Losa's "Flamenco, Espacio Creativo" organized by Flamenco Arts Festival.

Her style evolves continuously yet not to forget the history of this art and respect to her 30+ teachers who she learned from. Her focus continues to progress and thrives as a cross cultural dancer from broader knowledge and technique. She has trained from the ground up and has the "know-how" to educate, inspire, and remind people to embrace our lives on this Earth through the ancient art form called FLAMENCO.

Also she's a painter. You can check her paintings and progress on IG under @zmiiimz.
